Together, Darrell and his wife, Judy, have been short-term missionaries in countries around the globe, including Haiti, Cuba, Jamaica, and Vanuatu. They started attending Harvest Oakville in 2008, and they quickly became involved in the Small Group ministry at Oakville and have also built relationships with those who oversee the Small Group ministry there. In 2009 they came to Harvest Cambridge. They have attended both of our Small Group training sessions with Dan Anderson, and they have successfully started and led a Small Group in Guelph since early 2010. They attended Harvest University this past spring and enrolled in the Small Group Leader tract. They have recently completed a study in Why Small Groups? by CJ Mahaney.
Further, Darrell brings several decades of experience in business leadership, as he is retired from a successful career in sales and sales management. He at one time managed the North American, Mexican and Caribbean Basin sales division of Kord Products Ltd, and he served on the board of the North American Horticultural Suppliers Association.
Judy, Darrell's wife, worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, and she also holds a diploma in biblical studies from the New Brunswick Bible Institute in Victoria Corner, NB. She has served in church music for over twenty years and she has taught piano professionally. Judy was president of the ladies’ auxiliary Gideons of Guelph from 2000 to 2003.
They have both been heavily involved with the Gideons organization since 1997. Most importantly, they love Jesus, and they are humble servants in His Church on a mission to advance God’s Kingdom.
The elders of Harvest Bible Chapel completely affirm the leadership of Darrell and Judy, and we are very confident that they are more than capable of overseeing this very important ministry.
